• Annual and monthly inspections and reporting

Inspection cadence:

• Daily: Check AC power lamp and trouble light indicators.

• Monthly: Test alarm functions and communications; inspect smoke alarms as per manufacturer and NFPA recommendations.

• Annually: Full CAN/ULCS536 inspection, voice communication testing, and AHJ compliance review.

Sprinkler Systems (NFPA 25 / OBC)

• Annual, monthly, quarterly, and weekly testing, inspection, and reporting

• Wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action systems; standpipe systems and hydrants

• Diesel and electric fire pump inspection, testing, and maintenance

• Weekly control valve position verification (unsupervised valves)

• Periodic trip tests for dry systems, valve/inlet inspection, and five-year flushing

Cadence highlights:

• Weekly: Verify unsupervised control valves; check dry system air/water pressures.

• Monthly: Test alarms on systems without electrical supervisory service; inspect lockedopen valves.

• Quarterly/Annual: Full NFPA 25 inspection and water flow testing.

• Every 3 years: Dry-pipe valve trip test with control valve fully open.

• Every 5 years: System flushing.

Fire Extinguishers (NFPA 10) & Fire Hoses (NFPA 25)
